A Jackson resident and former Teton County Library employee discusses her personal experiences with her father, a police officer. She goes on to explain that the Police can help you after something bad has happened. Police merely react to crime, they do nothing to proactively prevent it. (3:24min)
A Mother in Jackson describes her son's traumatizing experience with the police at 11 year old. How he was taken advantage of and eventually sent to a ward where he was terribly abused, physically and mentally, at the age of 13 years old. Her son now suffers even further from mental health issues and has been constantly battling suicide ever since. (5:22min)
A Teton County Resident urges the county commissioners to read ActNowJHs extensive report, "Path to Defunding". He states that if you read our report you will see there ARE alternative policing strategies in the US, and there ARE other towns truly defunding the police. He specifically outlines a very successful, alternative Policing system, CAHOOTS, used in Eugene, OR (mentioned further in the report). (3:05min)
